A Lovely Exfoliating Cleanser I’m Loving: Feather and Bone Face Gems Facial Wash

I love natural skincare products so I was super excited when I was offered the opportunity to try Face Gems from Feather and Bone

These awesome little tablets might look like a skincare supplement, but it’s actually a really great exfoliating face wash! I had to take a double look when they arrived to make sure I had the right product!

Although they might look a little funny and I’m guessing like me, this is probably one of the most unique skincare products you will ever try, but when I first tried Face Gems out, I was pretty blown away!

How it works, is you take the tablet in your hand and then add about 5-10 drops of water (as needed). Apply pressure to the tablet and break it down to form a paste in your hands. It might sound like some work but it only takes a second or two!

Once the paste is formed, just smooth around your face like a face wash.

What I noticed right away is besides the fact that it comes in the form of a tablet it also feels or looks nothing like a face wash when applied to your skin either! It doesn’t lather like a face wash, but instead feels like a nice exfoliating, uh, mud I guess. It looks a bit like a light brown mud as you can see here too.

The texture is a little grainy so you can really feel it exfoliate your skin and remove those dead skin cells off your face. I actually found it really soothing and relaxing to apply to my face. I rubbed it around in circles like you would your regularly face wash, to give your skin a good cleanse while also removing the dead skin. It only takes about 10-20 seconds to rub in before the skin has soaked it up and it’s time to rinse.

When I rinsed, I noticed right away how much smoother and softer my skin felt. This is where I was blown away! How often do you use a cleanser that makes your skin feel like that? Like you just completed your whole face routine and rubbed in a nice soothing moisturizer too?! Uh, never for me! Not until now! As soon as I started rinsing I could feel the difference in my skin immediately. It felt lush and plump, and oh so soft to the touch. Once I patted my skin dry, it felt like it had just been moisturized too! This is pretty amazing for me because I naturally have super dry skin, and most cleansers make my skin feel dried out right away, and I’m running to my skin cream to get some moisturize to my face as quickly as possible once I’ve just washed my face! I almost felt like I didn’t even need any skin cream after using my Face Gems, my skin felt so amazingly soft and moisturized already, just from washing!

I’m head over heels for this product and you can bet this is something I will be purchasing in the future. I love that these unique little face gems wash and gently exfoliate in one, but I also love that you get the added super fabulous benefit of moisturized skin as well! I’ve never experienced another cleanser do that! It works fabulous with any skin type, and you will love how amazingly soft, and rejuvenated it leaves your skin looking and feeling afterwards too!

I would try it but I have super oily skin so I do not know if the added moisture in this would do well with my skin.

  2. It would be awesome to have a scrub that can do this.I would definitely love this experience.I am glad you introduced me to Face Gems from Feather and Bone.Thank you! 🙂
