Bring on the Vintage: Plaid Circle Skirt by Moooh Review

Plaid seems to be having a moment right now, in fact, it seems like it’s always in, doesn’t it?! Yeah, you can bet that plaid is always going to make a statement, especially in a pretty tartan print or a fabulously-chic red.

I recently came across a new fashion site I’m completely in love with Moooh.net. It not only offers some gorgeous plaid fashion like the knee-length circle skirt I’m wearing here, but you can find lots of gorgeous on-trend clothing for practically next to nothing!

Now I know I’ve blogged a lot about inexpensive clothing. In fact, I think most of us can agree that expensive clothing just isn’t in the budget most of the time for well…. most of us! But often times we end up sacrificing quality for inexpensive clothing. I don’t know about you, but often times I feel great about the deal, until the clothing arrives, and then suddenly I’m reminded why it was so cheap.  I feel this wave of disappointment come over me, and I think to myself, I probably should’ve just saved myself the money and not bought this. I hate when that happens. It happens all too often too. And half the time it will cost you as much as you bought it to ship it back so then you end up keeping the dreadful piece of clothing anyway, even though you never end up wearing it. Yeah, I’ve done this way too many times to count. This is exactly why I love Moooh so much!

When you order from Moooh, the prices are so incredibly inexpensive you think to your self, shoot I hope I’m not disappointed with the quality when it arrives. I will admit, I thought this when placing my order, but I loved the plaid skirt so much, I decided to go for it anyway.

When the skirt arrived, I was blown away. It is super thick, and actually quite heavy. Exactly what you would expect if you had just paid a couple hundred bucks for this (but you didn’t! It only cost $58!) It also comes lined. Is it just me, or do you never see that anymore! Yet I completely appreciate and love that!

The only thing I noticed is that there is no hem at the bottom. After looking it over I decided that was just the way it was supposed to look. The material is so heavy-duty though, that it doesn’t fray or anything like that, and I actually kind of loved the unique look of this skirt not having a hem.

The 50’s vintage style of this skirt makes it so fun to play around with too. You could style it so many different ways, it will never get boring! Being the colder months right now, I absolutely loved and appreciated how warm it is too thanks to the thick, super cozy material it is made with (you would never guess its polyester!) I normally where a size medium being a size 6, but I went with a large and the high waist fit me perfectly!

Isn’t the skirt fabulous?! I absolutely adore it and you will catch me wearing it everywhere this spring!

  1. So true that a lining makes a skirt drape beautifully, and prevents VPL and see-through.
I think a lot of inexpensive fast fashion omits the high-quality details.
