Have you ever heard of aloe vera skin care before? I hadn’t either but after reading up on it, I was super impressed and couldn’t wait to try it!
L’Bri Aloe Vera Skincare is designed specifically to really get down into the skin and penetrate it with moisture. I didn’t realize that soaps leave behind a residue on my face, which I guess I should’ve because my soap dish and shower are proof of that! L’Bri is aloe vera based and does not contain glycols or sodium sulfates which can actually cause harm to the skin. It also does not contain products such as lanolins, waxes, and fats that can actually clog the pores! L’Bri is all natural and contains no fragrances, dyes, or artificial colors! Aloe is the first ingredient in the L’Bri skin care line so you know you are getting a great moisturizing product!
So why exactly are soaps so bad? Well over time residue builds up on the skin, left from using soap, and it becomes imbedded into your skin, making moisturizers hard to penetrate, as well as those expensive anti-aging products! L’Bri is designed to cleanse the skin without soap that leaves a residue behind, giving you a clean, super clear, smooth complexion, AND allowing your expensive anti-aging products to really seep in!
Water is the purest form of moisture for the skin. When you use cleansers that leave a residue behind, water can’t get in, to help moisturize the skin. Our skin is constantly losing water every day, through exposure to sun and wind, and our indoor heating! If moisture is not replaced in the skin, it begins to shrivel, causing those dreaded fine lines and wrinkles! Over 90 percent of skin care products on the market today contain ingredients such as lanolin, petrolatum, waxes, and other ingredients that are coating the skin and not allowing moisture to properly get into the skin. Crazy!
The L’Bri moisturizers hold 5 times their weight in water, which in turn helps restore moisture to the skin! Lathering soaps can strip the skin of much needed moisture as well as leave a coat on the skin, which in turn causes moisturizes to not be able to accurately penetrate the skin. L’Bri’s cleanser does not contain these products so it is able to effectively open up the skin and pores, allowing for moisturize!
I got to try these products and was really impressed! I first tried the cleanser and let me tell you, it was unlike anything I’ve used before. It does not lather (because that strips skin of natural oils) and really doesn’t feel like a cleanser at all! You only need a tiny little bit and you actually mix it with water, and you’ll see a little goes a long way! Rub in like a cleanser than rinse. When I rinsed is actually where I really noticed the difference, it feels like a lotion has been left on your skin. It doesn’t feel dry at all like almost every cleanser I’ve ever used. You can feel this barrier of moisture already left behind on the skin. I really liked how it felt. It is also so gentle, if it gets in your eyes, no big deal! I did need to use eye makeup remover to really get the eye make up off while using the L’Bri Gentle Cleansing Lotion. I also noticed some makeup was left behind but step 2 helped clean the face completely!
Step 2 consists of using the Gentle Freshener Toner. I usually hate toners and never use them because they dry out my already dry skin, so bad! I loved using this toner though. My skin did not feel dry once while using it along with my L’Bri Cleansing Lotion. It really helped restore the PH balance and left my skin feeling clean and well moisturized.
The last product I used was the L’Bri Gentle Moisture Lotion. Again this moisturizer was unlike anything I’ve used in the past. Once again, you only need a tiny little bit. Then get this, you mix it with water! I put a little Moisture Lotion on my cheeks, forehead, and neck (I’m talking a dime size amount- TOTAL) Then I dipped my fingers in water to help smooth out the product all over my face and neck. The water makes it stretch so far, its crazy! Then you think the water will make the skin feel dry right?! But it doesn’t at all! My skin felt completely moisturized and smooth the whole time while using this product, as well as the Toner and Cleansing Lotion!
Overall, I loved using these products. I love that they are natural and Aloe Vera is the first ingredient in them! They really do leave the skin feeling incredibly moisturized, every one of the products does! I also loved how I didn’t have to use a cleanser that was harsh on my skin! The cleanser is super moisturizing and really cleans the skin so that my moisturizer could really penetrate the skin!
