In these modern times, we are bombarded with information on the tips and tricks to improve your beauty regime. There is no escaping this, no matter where you look, whether you’re scrolling through Instagram or riding on the bus, there’s an advertisement or an influencer telling you about a new wonder serum or cream.

However, it’s often the simplest and lesser known tips and tricks that are the best solutions. For models, it is their business to make sure they ensure they’re always looking their best, therefore they’re always keeping on top of the most effective beauty tips and tricks. Here are a few of their lesser known ones:

Rosehip Oil

Multi-talented Lacey Jones is a professional model, actress and professional poker player. This multidisciplined career has meant she must have a strong understanding of poker rules, acting methods and the most important beauty tips. One of these tips is the use of rosehip oil, which she says she uses to keep her skin youthful and glowing.

Let Your Skin Breathe

As simple as it sounds, Canadian model Coco Rocha’s biggest tip is to ensure that you remove all your makeup at the end of each day. Coco, who was featured on the cover of Vogue on several occasions says that she always tries to let her face breathe as much as possible.

This is a tip echoed by Kendall Jenner who says she has always been “super meticulous” about washing her face. Even before taking up modelling, Kendall would ensure she always removed her makeup, but now washes her face two or three times each day.

Moisturise

Another simple, but crucial, tip comes from the Martinique model, Melodie Monrose. Melodie believes that moisturising is the most important thing you can do to take care of your face, body and hair. In her opinion, there can never be enough masks. This approach has worked for Melodie, having been featured in both Vogue Turkey and Vogue Italia, as well as an ad campaign for D&G.

This tip is seconded by Karin Agstam, who finds herself waking up in the middle of the night to check on her child. She keeps her “night rescue kit” by her bed, this kit contains serum, lip balm, night cream and hand cream. She applies all of these before she goes to bed, and after waking up in the early hours of the morning. She also drinks a large glass of water with lemon. Agstam swears by this, and says that her skin is always “super moisturised and glowing” when she wakes up.

Use a Teaspoon

Instead of a typical lash curler, Lorianna Izrailova curls her eyelashes with a metal teaspoon. This is a trick that she learned from a makeup artist whilst taking part in a photoshoot for Maybelline mascara. If you’re out and about without your lash curler but are having an eyelash emergency, a teaspoon will work as a makeshift alternative.

It’s often the simplest of solutions that are the best, and these professional tips certainly show that this is the case.
