There’s not much more in this world I love than shoes. Especially spring shoes. I swear my feet get claustrophobic in the winter, being tucked away in boots for months on end, and when spring finally comes, I can’t wait to get into a fabulous pair of sandals. My feet breathe a sigh of relief immediately, and as much as I love boots, sandals will always be my favorite shoe.
To update my wardrobe this spring, I have been on the lookout for the perfect pair of sandals that would be a great go-to shoe that would go with everything, and is so comfortable I can wear it on lots of warm walks this summer, or out running errands for the day.
Every year I go through this, I look for the perfect spring sandal, and I usually end up buying 5 or 6 and only wearing one of them most of the season. And boy do I wear that shoe. Sandals are my most lived in shoe, and I’ve loved a few pair so much I completely wore them out in a season or two, which almost never happens with any other shoes I own.
When searching for my perfect spring sandal, I get them at a height I will be comfortable wearing in day in and day (I’m tall so I don’t always want a super tall platform, but something with a shorter heel that is still easy to dress up, but will be comfortable enough for me to wear all spring and summer long.
I’m already guilty of buying a few pairs of sandals this season that I thought would be “the shoe” but hasn’t been yet, that was until I got to try out Taos Footwear from Sole Provisions. I had heard of Taos shoes before but had never tried them. I knew they were known for being extremely comfortable, as any footwear you pick up from Sole Provisions, so I couldn’t wait to get a pair and see if they would become the “it sandal” for me this year,
When I found the Holiday Camel wedge, I was instantly in love. It’s a great height, just a couple of inches, and is made with a super soft, and flexible leather that really moves with your feet. The footbed is built with a flexible, padded countour-cork latex, making it incredibly durable, well cushioned, and perfect for long summer walks!
When I got my Taos shoes from Sole Provisions, I tried them on right away. What did surprise me is that they have a velcro strap, which honestly I kind of loved! Makes it super easy to get in and out of in a hurry (Ideal for that “it shoe” for spring). I loved the pretty woven strap details and the cute little button embellishments on this shoe as well. The details dress up this sandal so nicely that you can wear it with anything this spring! I paired mine with a pretty summer dress to show how these shoes can easily be dressed up for a night out look too, as well as for running errands around during the day.
When I wore around my Taos sandals, ahhhh, foot heaven! These sandals feel like you’re already broken-in favorite pair of shoes. I wore them around everywhere for a couple of days and no rubbing or blistering of any kind. These sandals move with you perfectly, and the footbed is insanely comfortable. No horrible rubbing from the straps either. They are designed to work with the foot, with every movement.
