In a weight-obsessed world, it’s no wonder many go to extreme measures to lose those few extra pounds, oftentimes risking their own health in the process. As any doctor will tell you, being overweight has it’s own significant health risks. How then do we find a balance, and with so many supplements out there to help in weight loss, how in the world do we know what to safely and properly take?

For many, limiting calories, eating smaller meals more often, making better food choices, and working out regularly is enough to help shed that weight, although oftentimes, not fast as this can be a very slow process, but generally a more healthy one with few health and safety risks.

Still, only losing about 2 pounds a week (on a good week) is about as good as you will do, at least for most of us (especially women, as men are able to lose weight quicker).

Sometimes though, some of us find ourselves in situations where no matter how well we eat and how regularly we work out, those pounds are just not coming off. In which case, seeing your doctor will most likely benefit you best, as trouble losing weight can often be associated with health issues such as an underactive thyroid, and your doctor can help you rule this out or any other issues that may be keeping the weight stuck to you. Your Doctor can also help aid you in finding supplements that can be beneficial to your weight loss

Over the years we’ve seen many drugs and supplements come on the market that is able to do just that, but oftentimes may not be found safe for most users.

One such drug is Phentermine.

Phentermine is a psychostimulant drug of the substituted amphetamine chemical class. Similar to amphetamine, it helps raise energy and suppresses the appetite, but should only be taken short-term, and with the recommendation and watchful eye of your doctor, as Phentermine can produce cardiovascular, gastrointestinal, and CNS side effects, as well as rare cases of pulmonary hypertension and cardiac valvular disease.
phetarmine: when to correctly use it and how to spot a fake

Phentermine was first introduced into the market in 1959 and became part of the well-known weight loss drug combination fen-phen, which was later banned and taken off the market in 1997 due to reports of it damaging people’s heart valves.

Later, in 2012 a different combination drug to help in weight loss, phentermine/topiramate was found safe and approved in the US. Phentermine can now be approved for up to 12 weeks of use and has been shown to help people lose substantial weight loss within the first three weeks of using the drug. After the first initial 3 weeks, the speed of weight loss then begins to decline a bit and continues at a slower rate.

Phentermine is generally only prescribed to those whose health may be at risk due to extra weight, and who have not been able to shed weight with traditional diet and exercise.  And because it is medically similar to amphetamine, it should not be used by people who have a history of drug abuse, or by those who suffer from cardiovascular disease, hyperthyroidism, or glaucoma. Pregnant women, women who are breastfeeding, or those planning on becoming pregnant should also not take Phentermine.

Different formulations of Phentermine are now available in many different countries all over the world and are branded under different names. What many don’t realize, is that many of these are actually fake. Not only are they expensive, but they won’t correctly aid you in the weight loss you are trying to get either. In fact, there so many sites on the web claiming to sell real prescription Phentermine without prescription, but in reality, it’s all fake.

One of the quickest ways to spot a fake is that it doesn’t require a prescription from your doctor. In 2012 when the newer, safer Phentermine was placed back on the market, the sale of it became illegal in the US without a prescription. When buying from sites who claim to sell legal phentermine without a prescription, you’re instead buying placebo knock offs.

A second way to identify the fakes is that they are purposely misspelled! Instead of using the name, “Phentermine,” these fakes are labeled as something similar, such as PhentermaXX, Phentemine, (which is missing the “R”), Phentramin-D, Phen375, and such.

You can, however, find potent, over the counter PhenObestin 37.5, and unlike the knock-offs, PhenObestin is made using Pharmaceutical grade ingredients, as well as produced at the GMP compliant lab in the USA, and only take for a very short time (such as a few weeks). The most potent, available at PhentermineDispensary.com.

When it comes to rapid weight loss and you feel you need to look beyond losing weight the safest and healthiest way (by eating healthier and working out regularly), be wise about which supplements you choose, as many can have harmful side effects, especially when taken for long periods of time.  Consult your doctor, do your research on the brand and supplement, and make sure you’re buying the real thing from a reputable dealer.
