How to Dress for a Dinner Party

Even though the holidays are far away and many of you are thankful for it, some still have dinner parties to attend to. If you don’t know what to wear here are a few guidelines to make a splash with chicness at the party.

#1- The White Winter Layers

Some of you are fearful of winter whites since it is way past Labor Day but winter whites scream classy and high-fashion, so take a chance and find a pair of white cropped denim pants and add a classy pair of heels. This outfit will bring you many nice compliments from all the other guests.

#2-The LBD and heels

For those of you who are not really sure of the dress code, always stick with the little black dress and a beautiful pair of graphic heels. This simple outfit will always make you seductive without trying too much and will keep you from feeling overdressed.

I’m a huge fan of the LBD and it’s been my go-to for years! It is so easy to just throw on and it always looks chic! Get Tips on how to style the LBD on my blog Here.

#3- The Sparkling Dress

For the other dinner parties that require a fancy attire try to find an embellished metallic dress. If the vibe is more casual and more of a party than a dinner look for a shorter, more coquette dress.

#4- The Fancy Pants

What do I mean by “fancy pants”? It’s actually simple find a cute jazzy pair with some patchwork or

embellishments. Fun and groovy trousers will help you get noticed at a dinner party. Try to find a simple cute solid color top to keep the outfit less costume-like and add a fun pair of heels. Voila! You have a great dinner party outfit.

I love a fun crop pair of pants this year. Last summer I styled a pair with a cute sequin top to really make a statement! See my fashion post here.

#5- The Long Sleeve and Flats

For those of you who hate wearing heels at dinner parties here’s the best option for you. Find a cute long sleeve dress possibly to the knee and pair it with some adorable flats. If you think this might be too casual instead, wear pointy flats with a sleek tight chignon. This outfit will instantly make you look effortless chic.
