I recently got to try out some of the new Pure ice holiday nail shades, and I’ve absolutely fallen in love with these beautiful, super fun colors!
Deep Red: Red Hot Mama
Gold Sparkles: Playtime
Pink Glitter: Sugar Cookie
The Red is one of my favorite shades of red I’ve ever used. I love the deep slightly darker shade of red. it looks and feels so glamourous, I will no doubt use this all year long!
The Gold is so fun and can easily be used on its own or to layer. In the above pictures I layered it over the red, and layered the Glittery Pink, Sugar Cookie, shade over the red as well, so all three colors are lined up on the nails. The gold is so thick that with two coats, it does just fine on its own. In the pictures below its not layered, just used on its own.
I’ve used lots of gold glittery shades in the past but Pure Ice, Playtime is my very favorite! A lot of gold glittery shades have been runny and the glitter was sparse, so the only way you could use it was by layering over other colors, but not Play Ice’s Playtime! I love how thick the glitter is! There is so much of it that it looks amazing all by itself on the nail!
The Pink has different rainbow shades of glitter/sparkles in it. I love how light and airy it makes the shade feel, yet still has lots of sparkle! I think its the perfect holiday shade and I love how unique it is. It is fun to use on its own or layered over other colors as well, because it is pretty sheer and can add some pretty sparkle to any shade!
I had a lot of fun playing with these pretty colors and also really loved how easy they were to use and how quickly they dry! I would pain one coat and by the time I was done, my first hand was dry enough I could start painting the second coat. I had so much fun playing with these different shades and layering the sparkle shades for more variety! I was super impressed with the staying power of Pure Ice polish too! They rarely shipped earlier than 3-4 days of wear (With use of a top coat). It seemed like when it was ready to come off, after a week or so, then It would all come off at once instead of chipping like mad on the ends! Playtime (The Gold Glitter) had the most impressive staying, non-chipping power! I would have to remove it after a week or so and it would barely have any chips at all! Although its packed with glitter, I found it easy to remove with nail polish remover, which as most of you know, when using a lot of glitter shades, they can be next to impossible to remove from the nail! So I was really glad it was so easy to remove.
For the price you absolutely can not beat Pure Ice nail polish! They definently hold up to the competition and more expensive brands as far as quality and choice of shades! In fact, Pure Ice has over 100, on trend shades to choose from!
You can easily pick up Pure Ice at any Walmart and each shade will only cost you $1.97! How amazing is that?! I will never go back to expensive nail polish after using Pure Ice! The price can absolutely not be beat, the shades all so diverse and so pretty, and they resisted chipping as much as some super high-end polishes I’ve used in the past! Oh! And Pure Ice polishes are all free of Formaldehyde, Toluene, and DBP! Now I’m betting you are as sold on these polishes and I am, and just wait until you try them!
