Rompers and Cardigans – My Spring Style Staples!

Rompers are going no where this summer! While this trend started going strong a few summers back, you will find that they are still popping up everywhere, and with good reason! The playsuit is a great little style staple that can easily add something extra special to your look. I love a cute playsuit in a fun bright print. Because the romper is short (shorts), it’s easy to go bold with a big playful print, where as this might be a bit harder to pull off with a jumpsuit (which are pants instead of shorts).

Since the weather is still a little chilly, add a cute cardigan or moto jacket to a romper for instant style and warmth. You can also wear them with heels for a night out on the town or wedges like I’m wearing here for a fun overall spring look. The great thing about rompers is it takes the styling out of your look, thanks to it being a one piece. You don’t have to wear it with anything but shoes and a bag if you’re looking for something completely effortless! Which is the great thing about a romper, no effort needed to make a fabulous fashion style statement!

Personally I love a good romper and have picked up a few over the years. The trouble I run into purchasing them online is that I’m pretty tall (5’10) so often times when I order a romper and it arrives, it nearly cuts me in half because the torso is just not made for women over 5’8. Luckily Venjoin (one of my favorite online retailers you can find on Amazon) offers a couple of super cute rompers/playsuits for women off all sizes. In fact this one I picked up here, has a super comfy elastic waist and is long enough you can wear it up on your waist or as a drop waist. Even tall girls like me can wear this romper either of these ways! It is long enough to look great on tall women and more petite women too!

This halter top paisley print romper is also some of the comfiest pieces of clothing I’ve ever worn, thanks to it being made from super soft rayon. Even though this fabric is super delicate and soft, you can still machine wash it, just be sure to toss it in a lingerie bag to prevent it from snagging on other clothing). I wash mine on the delicate cycle just to be extra safe and hang to dry.

I absolutely love that this romper looks great on women of all shapes and sizes. Thanks to the elastic waist, it will pull you it at your skinniest place so it will give you great curves, even for those fellow boy-shaped bodies like mine that doesn’t offer a lot of curve to begin with! You can also belt it at the waist like I did here for more definition. If you really want to accentuate the waist, use a thicker belt to draw the eyes to the skinniest part of your body.

This romper is gorgeous right? Just wait ’til you try it on! It is one of the comfiest pieces of clothing I’ve ever worn! The only con is that it being such a lightweight delicate fabric, you may need to iron the shorts between wears, as you can see here they tend to bunch up and get a bit wrinkled when you wear it around for the day.

I love the chic spaghetti straps on this romper too. Just be extra careful when slipping in and out of this jumper so that the plastic strap adjustment pieces don’t break off.
