Staying Cool: Which Fabrics Should You Wear In The Sun

We all want to ensure we look fabulous this summer. Indeed, that is why so many of us will head out this weekend to purchase some new fashion items. The good weather is upon us, and summertime is in full swing. So, we all need to make sure we’re careful about the products we buy. In most instances, it’s sensible to think about the materials used to make the item. That is especially the case if you’re getting new dresses or trousers. The last thing you want is to overheat and become sweaty when you’re out with friends. With that in mind, use the information below to ensure you make the right decisions when you’re shopping. If you do that, you should have no trouble staying cool.

Staying Cool: Which Fabrics Should You Wear In The Sun

Cotton

Most people agree that cotton is the best materials for women’s summer dresses. It’s a natural fiber fabric that helps you to remain fresh and chic in the sunshine. You only have to check the labels in fashion items to see the materials used. Also, cotton is one of the most popular solutions in the world because it’s durable. So, you will have no issue finding suitable dresses and tops from high street retailers or online. You shouldn’t start to sweat too much unless the temperatures rise exponentially. That means you can stay fresh and dry, wherever you might go with your friends during the next couple of weeks. Cotton is also easy to wash, so that’s a bonus.

Rayon

Unlike cotton, rayon is a man-made fabric that isn’t natural. However, it’s light and airy, so it’s perfect for summer fashion. You should find lots of dresses made from that material wherever you shop. It’s hard-wearing and offers many of the same benefits as cotton. Experts claim rayon has the same comfort properties as natural fibers, so there’s no need to worry about anything when you purchase. It’s closest to nylon on the material scale (if there were one), and it’s easy to dye the material in any color. That means it’s perfect if you want to perform any customizations this summer.

Chambray

So, what about those cold summer nights? Well, if the temperatures drop, most ladies would move towards denim. However, it’s still far too hot to wear something that heavy during the evenings. That is why I thought it was vital to mention a better alternative. Chambray is a plain-weave fabric woven with colored yarn. It can produce the same effects as denim in most instances. The primary difference is that chambray is much lighter than denim. The fabric can also breathe much better thanks to the weaving technique used in production. I wholeheartedly recommend you get something made out of chambray this year instead of wearing your Levi’s.

Now you know about the best fabrics to wear this summer, you should manage to avoid becoming too hot in the sunshine. Just make sure you avoid materials like silk that will stick to your body. If you do that, you will look and feel incredible for the next couple of months. Just make sure you remember all this advice when you go shopping this weekend. Enjoy!

  1. I am hot year round. I stay out of the sun, but it’s so hot & humid here in NYC! All I wear especially in the summer, is cotton & bamboo. I find they keep me really cooler. NO polyester – LOL! – for MANY reasons!
