Summer is here, and that means changing up your skincare routine a bit. Did you know that there are somethings you should change out and add in when warmer weather hits?
Trade in those heavy cleansing creams for a gel or foaming cleanser, be sure to use SPF lip balm, and although we should be using sunscreen all year long, make sure you amp up your summer skincare routine with a higher SPF sunscreen applied over your makeup or moisturizer that should already have some sunscreen in it.
When I first heard about California Naturel’s skincare line, I was really excited to try it. Because It’s summer, and what says summer more than California?! I couldn’t wait to give this line a try for my new summer skincare routine.
I first tried the gentle cleansing gel, which is safe for all skin types first, and fell madly in love immediately. I can be picky about my cleansers. I like a cleanser that is going to do the job but not leave my already dry skin feeling even drier after use.
The
California Naturel gel cleanser is extremely moisturizing and didn’t once leave my skin feeling tight or dry after use. The name says gentle, and it IS very gentle! I hate soaps that irritate my eyes, even when I don’t get any soap in there, or at least I didn’t think so! I’m pretty sure I accidentally did get some soap in my eyes once or twice during a few washes with this cleanser (don’t ask, I have ADD I swear and will accidentally open my eyes here and there while washing my face) and this cleanser was indeed, completely gentle. I experienced no irritation at all!
The cleanser is natural, and contains aloe vera and other moisturizing ingredients to really give you soft, smooth skin after use. It also contains organic soapberry which is used to cleanse and purify the skin. This also adds to the extra smooth and supple skin you’re going to get after using this product.
The scent is completely natural, and when I used it the first time, I really did picture myself in the California Sun. I absolutely love the soft luxurious scents you find in this skincare line.
I absolutely loved using this cleanser and can see myself using it for years and years to come! I love that I got a good clean, but my skin was not irritated or dried out after use. In fact, my skin did feel softer and smoother after using this cleanser day and night for the last three weeks.
Lip balm is extremely important this time of year, as the sun can really dry your lips out in hurry. I tend to be addicted to
lip balm and use it constantly all year long, but rarely do I use one that has SPF in it, and in the summer, that is an absolute must. Only a few minutes in the sun with unprotected lips can leave them dried out, and give you the dreaded chapped, peeling lip.
I used this sunscreen like a drug. I applied it all though out the day, but especially before hitting the outdoors for some much needed sun. Never once did I get dry, chapped, sunburned, peeling lips while using this lovely lip balm with SPF 8.
The lip balm is plant and mineral based. Like the rest of the California Naturel’s line, you won’t find parabens, sulfates, or harsh chemicals in this product. It’s also naturally scented! You can also find natural antioxidants in this lip balm to really help keep your lips feeling fresh, soft, and smooth all summer long!
I was really pleased with my California Naturel products and can’t wait to try out more from this innovative, natural line! Their products are effective, safe, gentle, and great for all skin types!
