I absolutely love my lemons. In fact, I eat them nearly everyday. I love adding them to my water for a citrusy taste when I get sick of drinking plain ol’ water, plus they have so many health benefits, I squeeze the juice into a lot of my foods. What I haven’t done though much of, is using some of the peel to enhance the flavor of my cooking. I have no idea why either, because since I’ve started doing it, I’ve been absolutely amazed with how much flavor it adds to everything!
One thing is for sure, if you’ve ever tried to remove some of the peel without a zester to really citrus-y up your dish, you know that is a big mistake. Yeah I’ll admit, I’m no chef. In fact, I stay out of the kitchen as much as possible and can only be found in there when the recipe is easy, fast, and I have the right tools to help me get in and out of the kitchen as quickly as possible. Which is why I was ecstatic when I found this awesome Lemon Zester that is not only incredibly easy to use and time-efficient, but also a must for anyone who cooks, because not only can you use it for lemons, but it makes a really fabulous cheese grater as well too! In fact, you can even use it for cooking with onions, grating chocolate, adding ginger to your dishes, and it works well with other citrusy fruits too!
The high quality stainless steel grating edges are super sharp so you get a quick, easy grate/zest every time! It also comes with a plastic safety cover to put on it when not in use, because believe me, it’s sharp and you don’t want to cut yourself on it reaching into the drawer!
The amazing design of this zester pulls the best possible flavor from the food, and leaves you with a truly fresh, flavorful dish when it’s all said and done! I especially love that its super easy to clean too (like I said, cooking, and especially cleanup, has got to be easy and quickly as possible for me to even step foot in my kitchen!) In fact, this handy little zester is dishwasher safe too, so I can just pop it in there after I’m done using it and that’s it! That is my kind of cleanup!

When my lemon zester arrived, I couldn’t wait to try it out! I went traditional and used it for lemons to begin with (although I have since used it for grating parmesan as well and was completely impressed with that as well!) I zested some lemon for a lemon-olive oil pasta dish. I went a little nuts with the zester and you can see here, it grates so efficiently and the blade is so sharp, you can get a lot of zest in a matter of seconds. I probably went a little overboard and my husband let me know my pasts was quite lemon-y, so I have toned it down a bit since then. The blade really does a great job of extracting the most flavorful punch from whatever product you are grating or zesting, so my advice..go lightly! You won’t need much!
Here is my completed lemon-olive oil pasta dish, topped with some fresh parsley and grated parmesan (this zester came in handy twice for this dish and it only called for about 5 ingredients!)
My DRAGONN zester made this dish a breeze to cook up. It only took me a few seconds to zest the lemon into the olive oil, add some garlic, and parsley, and top my dish with greated parmesan. (Which I didn’t realize at the time, but I could’ve used this wonderful grater for my garlic too!) The only thing that took some time was for the pasta to cook. I could sit back and start setting the table and cleaning up as I went along, instead of spending time grating and zesting without this handy tool (Which again, I have attempted to zest with just a knife before- I don’t recommend it. Plus it takes A LOT and the taste is usually completely overboard!)
When the dish was complete, I was super happy with the results. My pasta tasted citrusy and super fresh. It also made great cold lunch leftovers the following day too. When I was done with my meal, I just tossed the zester into the dishwasher and it came out perfectly clean the next morning! I then easily popped on the plastic cover and stored my zester in the drawer for the next use. (Which I found came the next day for again grating more parmesan!)
I’m completely in love with this handy kitchen tool and love how much time and energy it saves me while cooking! It also really adds some amazing flavor to the dish! I’ve been quite surprised just how much of a difference I have noticed with my cooking while using this zester! My food really does taste much better! I found the zester super comfortable to hold while using and. It is high quality and the handle has a nice comfortable grip so I experienced absolutely no slippage while using. You also don’t have to apply much pressure when using, thanks to the razor sharp edges, which in turn makes it really simple to use!
I highly recommend this zester/grater for everyone who does any amount of cooking. It really will make your job so much easier and simpler and you will be amazed with the quality of food you can produce using this tool!
