Well there’s certainly no doubt Fall is here! You can feel it in the cool, crisp air! I’m a summer girl through and through but when the evenings start to get a bit of nip in the air, It instantly seems to bring about warm, cozy holiday memories, and I find myself thrilled for the lovely fall holidays ahead.
With November full in swing, The holidays rapidly approaching isn’t the only thing you might be paying attention to! You may have already noticed a bit of change in your skin thanks to the cooler, dry fall weather. Or perhaps like me, you would have to have been hit on the head to not notice them! In my recent move back from Wyoming to Utah this fall, I’ve certainly had to tie in lots of new changes to my skincare routine.
For starters, it’s allergy season for a lot of us, and this year seems to have been one of the worse in a long time! With my recent move to Utah, well, there was absolutely no denying allergy season for me this year. It started with a super dry nose, and thanks to watery, itchy eyes, I started to get some incredibly dried out skin around my eyes too. Then as the weather cooled even more over the last few weeks, you can bet the rest of the skin on my face was drying out more too.
Thankfully my skin has been in rejuvenation mode, due to not being out in the sun day in and day, which is how I completely spent my entire summer! The sun spots have lightened, and I have been able to replenish my skin with some of the much-needed moisture and nutrients it lost from all that time spent playing at the lake during July and August.
With fall full in swing, I was able to start focusing on getting my skin back to its normal healthy self, with of course, the exception of extra dried out skin thanks to having the furnace cranked up at nights to keep me warm.
At 35 years of age, unfortunately, the sun spots and dryness aren’t the only things effecting my skin these days. I have noticed a slight decrease in the firmness of my skin as well, especially around the eyes. Ugh, just another one of those dreaded moments where you realize you’re not 24 years old anymore!

The cream is rich and creamy and feels incredibly moisturizing on the skin. Although it is thick and feels like an incredibly luxurious night cream, it’s also super lightweight, and non-greasy too. My dry skin soaked it up right away and it left no residue, but nourished and moisturized my skin right on contact!
It has a light, nice pleasant fragrance and really leaves my skin feeling radiant every single time I use it! When using this product for the last week, my skin seems to have a really nice glow to it as well. It has helped tremendously with moisturizing those dry areas caused from the forced air keeping my house warm, and also from those dry areas like the nose and eyes, my allergies have been irritating for the last few months as well.
My skin is looking so much more refreshed and revived as well. It has a nice plump feel to it, and my crows feet seem to be a bit less noticeable too. Thanks to the Alpha Lipoic Acid found in this cream, you may notice a bit of tingling. I actually didn’t notice it at all, but for those with more sensitive skin, it may be more common.
I also feel like my face has a bit of “lift” to it as well, especially around the eyes, where I concentrate product hoping to make my eyes stand out and look more youthful, instead of showing signs of aging with some drooping eyelids and fine lines I find underneath the eyes.
Overall, I’ve been pretty blown away with this product, especially for what you pay for it! derma e offers some of the most innovative ingredients and products on the market BUT at drugstore prices! Being a beauty blogger for the last 5 years, if there is one thing I’ve learned, it is certainly that price does not always guarantee quality, and often times you are just as likely to find very inexpensive products that totally out-due high-end designer products when it comes to bringing back youthfulness to the skin.
I also really love that you won’t find harsh chemicals with derma e products as well, just effective, natural ingredients that are going to help your skin look and feel it’s absolute best, without compromising the health of it.
In fact, the Firming DMAE Moisturizer by derma e was put up against a much more expensive Dr. Perricone product in a double-blind, 3rd party test. The results were quite AMAZING, and something certainly worth checking out!

Does the product help with acne and dark spots?
