Shopping for clothing as much fun as it is, can also be absolutely dreadful. Especially if you don’t fit the typical size. I’ve lucked out there, and thanks to my tall, boyish figure, I fit pretty well into clothing right off the rack. It’s rare I need something tailored, which is good, because I’m lazy and probably wouldn’t do it anyway. I imagine a lot of us fall into this lazy category, which really is a horrible fashion mistake all on it’s own, because poorly fitting clothing will do nothing to add to your style, in fact it can do the exact opposite and make you look frumpy, or worse, make us look heavier then we are! 

Well sometimes fitting a tailor into our busy schedule is hard enough, so what if I told you there is a fabulous fashion site that offers some of the most beautiful, classic and on trend clothing, that comes custom made to fit you perfectly! I got to pick out a custom piece of clothing made to fit me perfectly from eShakti, and I was beyond thrilled. The problem I do run into often, is not having pants or dresses long enough, since I’m pretty tall. I loved that when picking out my beautiful green, black, and white chevron print maxi dress, I could put in my measurements and my height, and get a custom made maxi dress made to fit every bit of me perfectly, including actually being long enough to touch the ground.

When my dress arrived, I was actually really surprised by the quality of this dress. When I pulled it out of the box, I was surprised at how big it was! It is fully lined and the skirt is so full, it looks amazing! When I went to put it on, I could see they had sewn the bust to fit perfectly, as it has a kind of a built-in-bra like shape to it. When I put it on, the gown went all the way to the floor! I loved it. It’s a maxi dress but I call it a gown because when you put it on, it feels like you are in the most exquisite gown! It is so full at the skirt, and feels absolutely amazing on.

When I did this photo shoot, it was the most fun I’ve ever had taking pictures for my blog.  I just walked around it in, tugging on the skirt, swishing it around, all-in-all, feeling like a total princess. I always wore short dresses to prom or special events, and this dress has completely changed my mind about the gown. You really feel like a million bucks when you put on a dress this fabulously made, full,  long and flowing, and perfectly made to fit!

I didn’t wear shoes in this dress, although It goes perfectly with some of my 5-6 inch heels. I liked the look of this in the grass, so I decided to go shoe-less for the photos, but as you can see here, this dress will look amazing on a night out with your favorite pair of heels. The gown hits just at the bottom of the heel, so you get a little peek of the shoe sticking out from under your dress, which is exactly where a gown should hit at the feet.

Absolutely stunning right? Especially in the wind! Like I said, it’s a maxi dress, and the print and colors make it perfect for day time, but because the dress is so high quality and the custom fit makes it such a knock out, this dress would be perfect with a fabulous pair of heels and clutch for a night out too, especially this time of year where you can really get away with bright colors and prints for evening.

I’ve worn lots of clothes in my day, especially for this blog, but when I say that there was something about putting this dress on and how it made me feel, that absolutely brought on this amazing feeling, and gave me such confidence, it’s still not doing it justice. I felt instantly glamourous in this dress. I didn’t want to take it off. In fact, I didn’t. I got in my convertible and drove off and kept the dress on for the night too!
