When I heard about “The Modern Break-up” a book about you guessed it… the modern relationship and the modern break-up, by Daniel Chidiac, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on it! I constantly read self-help books and any info I can get on relationships in hopes that I will finally figure out how to land my dream man and actually make it work long term!
Well, needless to say, when my The Modern Break-up Book arrived, I couldn’t wait to dive in! I read the whole book in 2 sittings and I would’ve probably read it in just one but I started it too late (11 pm on a weeknight) the first night I got it.
The book is super easy to read, and very attention-grabbing! It had me hooked from the first chapter! I wanted to know more, especially about the main character and what was going on with her love life currently! The crazy thing was I felt I was on the same path and journey to love the main character Amelia was, all while experiencing the same break-ups, heartbreak, confusion, and even kind of disgust for love and relationships at those hard times when I’ve lost all hope of ever finding the one and making it work.
The Modern Break up is wonderfully written and is like a brilliant self-help book full of helpful knowledge about dating, relationships, and breaking up, but laid out in an intriguing, clever story, told from many different perspectives, not just the main character’s viewpoint on dating and love!
