Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you know that One Direction is a hugely successful band with lots and lots of fans all over the globe! I don’t have to say much, I know you know them or have at least heard of them, but what I bet you didn’t know, is that Markwins has released a new line of makeup from the band, One Direction. You can get three different tins that include eyeshadow, mascara, eye liner, lip stick, lip gloss, and nail polish.
I recently got to try out one of the fabulous limited edition sets before it’s released to the public. (Look for the tins popping up in stores this month such as Macy’s, Dillards, Lord & Taylor, Stage Stores, and Beauty Brands).
When the set arrived, I was thrilled to try it out. I got the “Up All Night” collection full of beautiful blues, greens, teal, and pinks. You can choose form the Take Me Home Collection (full of lots of golds and blacks) or the Midnight Memories Collection (contain pretty reds, corals, and grays).
In each tin you also get some custom stencils included as well, so you can decorate lots of things besides just your face, with your favorite band’s doodles. Also, each set of makeup comes in a great little One Direction tin you can store goodies in, as well as some directions on how to apply the makeup to get your best look!

You get a ton of makeup in this pretty little tin, and can come up with a number of different looks! I took mine on a recent vacation to Jackson Hole, WY., and came up with several different looks for my trip. I love that the eyeshadow palette has a pretty baby pink and taupe so that I could get a pretty, yet simple look for day time, but I could use the shimmery blue’s and gorgeous dark blue eyeliner to really amp up my look for night.
Here I’m wearing my day time look with the pink and taupe shadow, a light smudge of blue eyeliner on the bottom, and the gorgeous bright fuchsia pink lipstick in “I should have kissed you.”
The colors are fabulous and I was absolutely amazed with the staying power of all of the makeup, especially the lip gloss. The lip gloss was probably my favorite. Mine came in a gorgeous bright glitter pink, called “Taken.” The lip gloss is not sticky but absolutely stays on for hours, even through eating and drinking. I was completely impressed with the lip gloss and have used it like crazy since I got it!

Also, let’s not forget about the fabulous nail polish that comes in this set. The gorgeous “Ma Ma Ma” teal is a fabulous color and the polish has some amazing staying power as well! I made it a few days without chips which is rare for me. My polish is usually chipping by the next day, I’m so hard on my nails!
I absolutely loved using all of the products in my limited edition One Direction makeup tin by Markwins. The makeup is gorgeous and powerful, and sure to make a statement! It comes off easily when washing your face at night, but stays on all day and throughout the night! Wether you’re a big fan of One Direction or not (but come on, who isn’t?!) I know you’re going to love these gorgeous makeup tins!
