Extensions seem about as common today as a cup of coffee in the morning! They are everywhere, and soooo many women are rocking them these days! 
I think a lot of us are under the misconception that you have to pay big bucks and have them done at the salon, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. There are so many fabulous clip in extensions, tape-in, U-tip, and micro loop extensions available now, it makes it so easy to find an extension that works best for you and looks completely natural with your hair!
I’ve worn extensions on and off for a few years now and am absolutely in love with them. It is a great way to give you longer, fuller hair, and extensions today are such great quality, no one will ever know!
I got to try out some AbHair hair extensions and was absolutely thrilled when they showed up. AbHair has such a great selection of all types of extensions,  it makes it super easy to find the extensions that will work perfect for you! 
I picked the clip in, because I like the idea of applying them to my hair with a small comb. This honestly looked like the easiest solution to me, and I’m all about easy.  I picked the wavy extensions, because my hair is naturally wavy. (I didn’t realize this until recently, but it’s best to pick the extensions with the same hair texture as yours, that whey when you style them it will blend in better with your natural texture.  
I also picked the  24 inch length (because I already have super long hair) in medium chestnut brown. You want to pick as close to your color as possible, but these extensions are such high quality Remi Hair (the best quality human hair extensions you can get), that you can still dye them, cut them, blow-dry, use styling tools, product, and of course wash and dry them.
When you first get your extensions it’s good to wash them first because they usually are extremely shiny, and washing them helps dull them a bit, making them look more natural and blend in with your hair more seamlessly. If they still look to shiny, you can use some dry shampoo on them to give them more texture that way too.
When my Remi clip in extensions from AbHair showed up, I was so excited to try them out, I pulled them out of the package immediately to feel them. They felt amazingly real! It is real hair after all, but these extensions were soft, lightweight, and a really great quality. Like I said, I’ve tried lots of extensions in the past, and these by far are some of the highest quality I’ve seen!

I couldn’t wait to try these out in my hair! If you haven’t used clip in extensions, they are actually really easy to place in the hair (and take out, surprisingly enough!) You just start from the bottom of the back of your head, apply one of the bigger wefts a few inches from the bottom, apply a second an inch or two up, and a third a few inches just below the crown, to give you the most natural look. You’ll know when you place them where it will look best, and you don’t have to use all of them either. 
This set comes with 7 wefts. Besides the three big wefts, you get two medium ones, and two small ones (for the sides of your hair). Place the medium weft just above your ear, and the smaller one a few inches from the crown, or under your part. 

When applying clip ins, apply them before you style your hair. Here are some tips I learned that were extra helpful for placing the clip in extensions and helping them grip your hair tighter.

-Grab a rat tail comb, part your hair where you’re going to place the weft,  and then back comb the bottom of the part/track.

-Then apply hairspray to both the bottom and top of the track. This will help the extensions grip your hair.

-Place the clip in just under the track.

-Repeat these steps for every weft you place in your hair.

It may take a few times to get it right, but you just have to play around with your hair a bit to figure out the best placements for the wefts, and how to best clip them in. The first time I used them it took me about 20-30 minutes or so to figure it out, so be sure to give yourself plenty of time before your first wear. Once I figured it out, the next few times I used them, I got them in really quickly.

Once the clips are in, you can then style your hair as usual. Here I straightened mine a bit but also wanted a natural more messy texture, so I left some of the wave in, in some pieces.  Also don’t use hot tools on synthetic extensions, they can only be used on human hair extensions. Its a good idea to start at the lowest temperature possible too until you find a good temperature that works with your extensions.

These extensions are super easy to straighten and my iron worked fine with them, I probably could’ve used a higher heat then used here. Just be sure to use tools from mid hair down. You don’t want to use a flat iron at the roots or you could risk ruining your iron or extensions.

Because my hair is already long, I mostly used mine to get a fuller look, but I was pleasantly surprised to see once I straightened my extensions, they actually gave me quite a bit more length too!

I was so pleasantly surprised with how my extensions were a perfect color match with my hair, as well as how natural they look in my hair. You can’t tell I am wearing extensions here at all. But my hair is noticeable longer and also quite a bit thicker too, especially in the front.

I wore mine around all day, and the are actually really comfortable. I totally forgot they were there except when I felt my hair brush the bottom of my back, because I’ve never had hair long enough to to do that!

They stayed put all day long (even through the night) and I never had one slip or fall out, or get the least bit uncomfortable. When the time came to take them out, I just gently lifted the clip up and they would come right out. I didn’t rip any hair out and it wasn’t painful at all.

These are extensions I could easily wear every day! They are made to last about a year too, as long as you take good care of them, wash them regularly (3 times a week maximum), condition, and use a special extension wide tooth comb on them, and be gentle with them of course.

Overall, I absolutely love my AbHair Remi Extensions and have already been wearing them a ton since I got them! They are so easy to us, and maintain, and they look so natural! I am so pleased with how well they blend into my hair, both texture and color! I love that I can use my blowdryer on them after washing (although you can let them air dry too) and I love that I can use my curling iron, flat iron, and styling products on them as well!

    They really look natural in your hair. I have been surprised to learn that two bloggers that I follow talks about their extensions on their blog and if they hadn’t said they were wearing extensions I would have never known.

    The extensions color really did blend in with your real hair. I’ve never used any hair products like this before. I think it would be difficult to find a texture that matched my hair texture and didn’t look fake. I have thin, very curly hair that is prone to frizziness.

    I have never tried using hair extensions thinking that they would be too hard for me to manage. The way you describe them I might just have to try one one of these days! I really can not tell you have them in your hair at all!!
