Shopping, and a Personal Stylist, Brought Right to Your Door: Blue Jeans Bar Express Review

I love to talk about all things beauty and fashion, obviously, that’s why I started this blog! While there are lots of great brands, products, and services out there, that I write about from time to time, it’s rare that I truly get incredibly excited about something, and can’t wait to share it with you all! But that has just happened!

I recently came across the Blue Jeans Bar and am absolutely IN LOVE with this site! How many of you out there love to shop, love to stay on top of the trends, but maybe just don’t have time for it in your busy lives? How many of you could use your own personal stylist, as you read up on the blogs, read your monthly fashion magazines, but still struggle to put together looks that truly make you feel proud and confident? How many of you love good, quality, name brand fashion, but maybe don’t know exactly where to find it at a great deal?

Well,I have found the PERFECT place to solve ALL of these problems for you, yes all of them! Blue Jeans Bar offers the best in fashion, good quality, name brand clothing, but at fabulous prices! Not only that, but they do the shopping for you, and are a personal shopper all in one for you too! That’s right, you get your own stylist too!

You can shop all of your favorite fashions at Blue Jeans Bar, but they also have an Express Service, that acts as your personal shopper and stylist too!

Here’s how it works: You sign up on their site, put in your fashion preferences, favorite brands, places to shop, your measurements, etc, you also have a one-on-one conversation with your personal stylist, so she can get a feel for your style and what you need to add to your wardrobe, and then BJB Express then sends you a box with up to 4 hand-picked outfits for you to shop in the comfort of your own home.

At first I was a bit skeptical, and I thought, hmm I don’t know honestly how much I would buy from this type of service and I couldn’t help but think it would be more hassle than it’s worth, but boy was I so wrong.

After my consultation with my fabulous Personal Shopper, Marnee, I was excited to see what she was going to send me. My box arrived shortly, and It felt like Christmas! I had a HUGE box of several different outfits to try on! Here is what my box looked like when it arrived:

Well, I’m an avid shopper, and so I dropped everything right that second, and ran the clothes up to my bedroom to try them on.

What I LOVED the most about this process, is that I could try on the outfits in the comfort of my home. No waiting in lines for the dressing room, no horrible harsh store lighting (anyone who has tried on a bathing suit while shopping knows what I mean) and I could take my time and try it on with different shoes, bags, jewelry, etc, so I could get a real feel for what my outfit will look like. You can’t exactly do all of that at the store when you’re shopping, right?!

I have to tell you ladies, I got this like, straight shot of Euphoria when I started trying on these outfits right in my bedroom. It’s not your normal shopping experience at all, where personally I tend to avoid the dressing rooms altogether, and just hope the item actually fits and I like it once I get home.

With BJB Express, I knew exactly how I was going to style the outfit, and had like I said, good lighting, and could take my time trying on the different outfits or mix/matching them up as well. I don’t know quite how to explain it other than to say this was the BEST shopping experience I’ve ever had. I didn’t realize how much of a difference it would make trying on clothes in my own home, versus the store, with people waiting on you to hurry up so they can have your dressing room.

When I tried on my first outfit I was beyond thrilled. Personally, I loved exactly how the outfits were put together, and I thought it was so fun that someone else had put them together for me. Being a blogger, I always like to see other people’s perspectives on putting pieces together, especially seeing outfits styled by a professional!

Much better lighting than in the store, even though it’s evening and my room is a bit dim. I loved trying on each of these outfits and honestly wanted them all, but I think thanks to not being rushed to try on things at the store, I was able to take my time and honestly think about what I wanted to purchase and what I wanted to send back. In fact, you have plenty of time to think about it, 10 days to be exact.

When I’m out shopping, If I want something bad,  I will sometimes go shop other stores and think about it or wait until the next morning, and if I’m still thinking about that fabulous pair of jeans, I will go back and buy them.

Well the whole BJB Express process, makes it so you don’t have to go back to the store twice. Try your stuff on, think about it or sleep on it, and then decide what to keep and what to send back. I honestly knew after trying everything on what I wanted to keep later on that night, so I sent an email to my personal shopper/stylist the next morning, told her the pieces I wanted to keep, so she could charge my credit card, then put the rest in the box, dropped it off at the UPS store with the free shipping label, and that’s it! Done! My shopping experience took about a whole 20 minutes, and I ended up with a fabulous pair of white MIH denim jeans, a cute Alpine Stars sea green, printed tank top, and a super comfy long-sleeved logo tee.
