70’s inspired Jumpsuits have been showing up on the runways and streets for the last few years now, but so far we’ve really only seen the super glam, dressed up jumpsuits, so when I saw the new casual jumpsuit that has come out this spring, I was so ecstatic! Finally a jumpsuit I could wear for day, for a cool casual vibe.
If you own a jumpsuit, you know they can cost a pretty penny. I bought a sleek satin jumpsuit a few years ago when they started to come out, for about $150. I knew there were better options if I just looked hard enough, and sure enough, I found a great selection of both dress-like jumpsuits and the new on-trend casual jumpsuits at PersunMall.com all for around $30-$50 each!
I loved them all but wanted something that said “day” but could be dressed up nicely with a blazer for night. I found the V-neck chiffon jumpsuit with waistband from Persunmall and was immediately in love.
Because I’m pretty tall (5’10) I was a little nervous the small sizing wouldn’t fit me. Luckily Persunmall offers this jumpsuit all the way up to an XL, which is the perfect fit for me (I’m a size 6).
When I got the jumpsuit, it fit exactly right! I had plenty of room in it, and it was still long enough on my legs for a cute crop look. Also the area between the bum and the shoulder (which is usually where I run into my problems buying rompers and one-pieces, because of my long length) was a perfect fit. No uncomfortable pulling here. I could move around, walk-in, and sit in this jumpsuit just fine!
The chiffon material is very lightweight and a great piece for spring. It almost seemed to me to be a little see-through, but as you can see from my pictures, its not. I love that the chiffon still dresses it up a notch while the cut of this jumpsuit is still very casual. It can totally be the ultimate versatile jumpsuit.
I also picked out this gorgeous black blazer with zipper details and hot pink rolled sleeve details from Persunmall for $38. It comes in black or white, but I decided to go with the black for a fun monochromatic look. I never do monochromatic, in fact I’ve kind of been scared of it, but I thought that wearing a jumpsuit would be the perfect time to do.
Monochromatic is really great for those that fall on the more petite side, because it makes you look longer and leaner since there is no break of color, which in turn breaks you up, and makes you appear shorter. Monochromatic gives you long, smooth lines, and we all love black for the reason that it makes everyone look skinnier!
Here is my jumpsuit and blazer, monochromatic look:
Here is the jumpsuit on its own:
I absolutely love this look. It’s incredibly unique and still super chic when you want it to be, and toned down and casual when you want to be more casual.
The jumpsuit and blazer are both extremely comfortable. I really enjoyed wearing both of these pieces, especially together as an outfit.
If you are new to the jumpsuit, the blazer is great to wear with it, to break up the one-piece look. It then makes it looks like you are just wearing some cute trouser pants and a nice chiffon top with your blazer. I suggest wearing it this way if wearing an adult one-piece makes you a little nervous. Once you get used to it, just toss the jacket off!

Very cute! Don’t know if I could pull that off though.
I love that jumpsuit! Awesome look (looks great on you!). I love the necklace too, new fan 🙂
Jumpsuits look good on you but are so not my style. One piece outfits would give me so much trouble in the bathroom!
It looks really good on you. I like that necklace too!
This is a very interesting style. I remember when this used to be in before.
Love the look of it with the blazer. Makes it look like a totally different piece.
