I certainly have my favourite fashion staples when it comes to dressing up for a big night out, but I also like to take the opportunity when visiting new and exciting places to push my fashion boundaries and try a new look.
I have some super stunning finds that I have barely or never even worn because they might just be a little bit OTT, but when you are planning a night out an outfit like this can be perfect. The other night I was invited to join a group of friends on a fab night out at a classy casino and although I love playing games at http://www.iPadcasino.ca I hadn’t been to a real live gaming venue in ages.
I instantly thought of Monte Carlo and the glitz, glamour and style of the casino there, and I knew that this was the perfect time to find a glam outfit and make the most of it. My first instinct was to go with a little black dress because it‘s sexy and classic, but it was also perhaps a little too sedate and I wanted to stand out from the crowd. My friends might tease me and say that as a fashionista I always stand out, so I had to make an extra effort for my casino date!
I decided a brightly coloured cocktail dress would be perfect for the occasion and hunted down one that may have been a standard shape and style, but the colour was anything but! My A-line red dress with its silver shimmer and shoestring straps certainly turned heads and I accessorised with chunky silver jewellery to match. I added sky scraper silver stilettos and a clutch bag to complete my bold and eye catching look, and the whole outfit certainly achieved the high stakes glamour image I was going for.
My look for the night was sexy but still elegant and I didn’t attract attention for all the wrong reasons. I felt right at home in the plush and opulent setting of the casino and it was definitely the ideal occasion on which to be a little bit daring. I was really happy with the way I styled my outfit for the evening and can’t wait to dress up again.
