You know how you just like something right away, on the first try? Its rare, but it happens every now and then for me, and when I recently got to try some Skyn Iceland products, I felt those little wonderful butterflies in my stomach!
I’ve heard a lot of wonderful things about Skyn Iceland over the years and have been dying to try it out. They are known for effectively treating stressed skin, so I was thrilled when they asked me to review some products for them! I dived into their website and found soooo many wonderful products to try, I had a hard time just picking a couple, but I came across the Skyn Iceland Glacial Cleansing Cloths (which is a celebrity favorite, I might add) and the White Cloud Spot Corrector.
I chose these two products because I’m a bit lazy in the morning but need to wash my face both day and night since I tend to battle a little adult acne here and there. I love the convenience of cleansing wipes and how quickly and easily I can use it and have a clean face!
Because its summer, and I’m addicted to boating and playing on the lake, my face has seen way too much sun, even though I’ve been good with the sunblock and big sun hats, so I needed something awesome to fight those ugly sun spots, so I couldn’t wait to dive into the White Cloud Spot Corrector when it showed up at my door!
Anyway, as I was saying, I knew right away I was going to be a big fan of Skyn Iceland for a lonnngg time, as soon as I opened up my products and tried them out for the first time! I don’t know if it was the scent, texture of the products, the cute packaging (I love reading them – They have the cutest little sayings, or I guess I should say reasons for using the product), or how amazing both products felt on my skin, but I loved them both right away!
I first tried the White Cloud Spot Corrector that night after washing my face. It’s nice and creamy and feels so silky smooth on my skin. I liked that it was more of a cream than a serum. Most spot correctors seem to be serums and I feel like my skin soaks it up so fast I’m not sure it’s doing any good. I loved that this sat on my skin for a minute and felt so refreshing and moisturizing! I almost felt like I didn’t even need a moisturizer after, but I still used one to make sure my dry skin got what it needed!
The next morning, I opened up my lovely glacial wipes and dug right in! First off, let me just say that I use ALOT of different cleansing wipes! I’ve tried lots of different brands, because I’m lazy in the morning and I want to wash as quickly and effortlessly as possible! Cleansing Wipes are single handedly probably the best invention for the lazy girl worried about keeping up on her beauty routine!
Yeah, so I’ve tried lots of these things, and the glacial wipes from Skyn Iceland were by far my favorite! First of all, you open them up, and they are incredibly soft! They glide across your skin and feel so nice. Next off, they are packed with cleansers! You feel it as soon as you open up the bag and touch the wipes! You can tell they are going to give your face a good wash!
They felt so refreshing on my skin! They were so packed with cleansers I had enough on one wipe to use on my neck, back of my neck, chest, and hands! I loved the instant clean! It made my skin feel smooth and soft, and not dried out or rough at all! My skin looked and felt really great after using these wipes, and I had no doubt they were giving my skin a fabulous clean! So much that I used it a few nights to wipe off makeup! I was equally impressed with how well it pulled off makeup, especially eye makeup! They are so gentle though that my eyes didn’t sting at all, and my skin was not irritated in the least while using these lovely glacial cleansing cloths! I could see right away how effective Skyn Iceland products are at de-stressing skin! I swear that not only did they relax my skin, but they relaxed me!
I’ve been using my Skyn Iceland products for a few weeks now and have been nothing short of impressed! They are super gentle, effective, and leave my skin feeling clean, soft, smoothy, glowy, AND well moisturized! I’m definitely a believer in Skyn Iceland, and I’m dying to try more products from them, I loved my cleansing cloths and spot corrector so much!
To show you how well I’ve been loving my White Cloud Spot Corrector, I took some before and after pics to show you the difference.
It’s only been 2 weeks of use, but I can already see some lightening of the big cluster on my forehead. I’ve also had some spots show up right under my eyes (thanks to the tiny Ray-Ban sunglasses I’ve been wearing all summer) and I could tell that it was starting to fade away already!
If you haven’t used spot correctors in the past, they usually take a few months to really see a big difference so I’m thrilled that after just 2 weeks I can see a difference already, especially since I was on vacation last week and spent every day, all day in the sun and totally forgot my sun hat!
*Also I just want to note that when using spot correctors, your skin is extra sensitive to the sun so you really have to be diligent about applying sunblock while using it! Also please excuse the huge mess behind me in the second picture, I’m currently buying a new house and getting ready to move and my office has been the catch all room! lol.
Overall, I LOVED using my Skyn Iceland products! I felt they lived up to all the hype and then some! They are easy to use, feel great on your skin, and oh yeah..if you were wondering about their name… It is called Skyn ICELAND, because the products are used from natural (and of course paraben-free) minerals and botanicals found in the Icelandic therapeutic glacial water and volcanic rock, which has been known to treat common skin problems such as psoriasis, eczema, and also skin rashes and irritation, by treating inflammatory in the skin, as well as healing, protecting, treating, and replenishing stressed skin.
So there you have it! I LOVE my Skyn Iceland products and I know you will too! My skin feels completely de-stressed and well… AMAZING!
