I’m a nail polish junkie, there is no question about that! In fact, if you ask me what my favorite beauty product of all time is, you can bet I’ll say nail polish. I love that you play with so many different colors on your nails you might not be as brave to play with on your face. It also feels amazing to get that perfect mani and know that you’re nails will look great for some time and you won’t have to worry about them. I love low maintenance beauty. But the problem with the perfect mani is that it usually doesn’t last longer than a couple of days. In fact, I was so highly disappointed a few months back, when I went into the salon for a professional mani (I hadn’t done one in a couple of years!) and it started chipping the very next day! (Probably won’t be going back for another mani anytime soon!)

Isn’t it incredibly disappointing when your manicure chips that quickly?! I was completely annoyed. Then about a month ago, Butter London hit me up about trying out their new Patent Shine 10x Nail Lacquer. I’ve tried and Loved Butter London before because they offer some of the most beautiful, vivid colors on the market. I loved the idea of a manicure lasting for up to 10 days, which is exactly what their new Patent Shine 10x Nail Polish is supposed to do! I couldn’t wait to put them to the test! I can be hard on nails, so I knew I could really test this new formula out like no body’s business!

Butter London Nail Polish Blogger Review

When my new Butter London Patent Shine 10x nail polish arrived, I was absolutely immediately in love with the colors. I got a gorgeous Blue (Chat em Up) Red, (The Majesty’s red) and a fun on-trend Gray (Over the Moon) and pretty nude (Shop Girl).

As you can see here, these colors are fabulous! I expected nothing less from Butter London and they absolutely did not disappoint!

I normally get a batch of nail polishes to review and can get it done in a few weeks because as we all know, almost all at-home mani’s tend to chip after only a few days. This of course nearly always happens when I’m reviewing polish, so I could move on to the next color in a few days, take some photos, etc, etc. Well when I applied the Chat Em Up Blue when my polish first arrived, I found that it was a good FULL week before I needed a new mani! With the first polish, I actually tried to be good to it (using gloves while washing dishes, cleaning the house, etc) as I find that its usually the dish soap and house cleaners that ruin my mani’s faster than anything. I hit the 10 day mark and my nail polish was still holding on great. I had a few chips but nothing serious. I didn’t fill the need to remove the polish and apply a new mani until this point which is exactly why I was blown away! I’ve never had a mani last this long (not even most of my professionally done manicures, as you can see from my note on that earlier!)

The next color I tried was Her Majesty’s Red. This time I didn’t take it so easy on my polish. I washed dishes daily without using gloves, and cleaned my house when the weekend came without using gloves again. My mani didn’t last quite as long as the first, as you would expect, but I was still completely impressed with how well it did hold on, even while I was being very hard on it! It chipped after about 4 or 5 days, but only in a few places, and the rest of the mani still held on tight. I absolutely had no peeling of any kind either which I find often happens with other polishes as soon as it starts to chip.

Again with the third and fourth polish (Over the Moon gray and Shop Girl Nude) I was hard on my nails, didn’t use gloves when cleaning, and each time my manicure far out lasted any other polishes I’ve ever used! I’ve never had manicures last so well (unless using a glitter coat which we all know has intense staying power!) I could be careless with this nail polish and still be confident in knowing that it would get me through my weekend plans as well as well into the next work week before I would need to re-do my nails!

The colors are absolutely gorgeous and will actually last you around 10 days, especially if you make an effort to be good to your mani! This post took me longer than a month to write because each nail polish has lasted at least a week! I truly am completely blown away with the staying power of these polishes!

*Also a little tip I recently learned and have been using that has also really helped my nail polish stay on tight: Use 2 base coats instead of just 1 for extra grip and staying power!

    I’m so torn as to which one is my favorite!! I love blues and reds always. But I’m really loving the grey one too!! This really is a gorgeous set! I think I’d first do red toes with grey nails and add blue ring fingers. Some combo like that. Thanks for this chance!!

    My first favorite shade would be Shop Girl, I could see some pretty nail art with this shade but My Majesty’s red is a gorgeous red that i would wear alot, I’m a red kinda girl 😉

    Red polishes are my weakness so The Majesty’s Red of course, but for some reason Shop Girl Nude keeps calling to me. haha
