I’ve been thinking about going back to blonde, but sometimes the commitment can be scary. That’s why I was super excited to try out a gorgeous ponytail blonde wig from MyeSoul.
I think we tend to view wigs negatively because in truth, in the past wigs have been poorly constructed, incredibly uncomfortable, itchy, and well… cheap. But if you haven’t tried a wig recently, you’re truly missing out. They have come a long way in the last few years and you don’t have to spend a fortune to get a great looking wig that looks and feels so natural, and is believe it or not, actually quite comfortable. You can choose between synthetic or real hair. I actually don’t mind the synthetics at all because they are now so completely natural-looking and feeling, and are much more inexpensive compared to wigs made with real hair.
While I haven’t worn a lot of wigs, I have tried a lot of extensions. I thought trying part of a wig would be a good place to start. So I picked up this lovely pony tail, super long wig, just to give it a try. It is synthetic and has some brown mixed in with the blonde to make it look more natural.
While my hair is chestnut brown, blonde is quite the contrast for a ponytail, but with ombre still being a huge trend in hair right now, as well as brightly colored dipped ends, I thought I could probably pull this off by adding a few blonde highlighted clip in extensions to my hair, tying it all back into a ponytail, and then clipping my blonde wig ponytail into my hair.
First off, this wig couldn’t be any easier to apply! It has a butterfly clip you just clip into your hair just like a regular clip. It is tight and holds onto your hair really great and doesn’t get to heavy or uncomfortable, even though it’s a ton of hair!
I put my hair in a low ponytail and actually left my hair out, in the bottom, to mix in a little brown with the blonde making my ponytail look more natural. Then I just clipped the wig right above my pony. The support of my pony probably helped keep the wig up and in place but honestly the clip is so well made I think it would have been just fine with out. I found this to be a really comfortable way to wear the clip in pony as well as make it look as natural as possible.
Isn’t the wig great? While its a drastic change from my natural color, I do think the blonde clip in extensions helped it look more natural. The wig itself is so soft and looks so real.
I wore this wig for hours and it was completely comfortable even though it is so long! The clip stays in place perfectly and doesn’t move or slide around a bit. It also didn’t ever feel heavy to me, but then I do have really long hair and I’m use to carrying that weight around anyway. Someone with naturally shorter hair may find it a bit on the heavy side.
Overall, I’m a big fan of this wig ponytail from MyeSoul and am excited to see what else they have to offer, especially in the hair department!

It does look rather natural but I agree that I think the extensions you put in your natural color helps it to look more natural. I have heard of this site but wasn’t aware they sold wigs or clip in wigs.

I can’t deal with hair that long normally, and like my hair shorter so that I look a bit older, more professional. But, there are definitely times like going out that I wish I had longer hair.

Sometimes I think it would be nice to have a wig to put on everyday and not have to style my hair. With the natural looking wigs they have I suppose that’s always an option now. You did a great job styling yours.
