More and More, Natural products are becoming more important to me. Maybe it was due to the sudden onset of adult acne the last few years, or maybe its because as I have gone vegetarian and have started eating more healthy. I have noticed a huge difference in the way I feel, and my health since these changes have come upon me. It makes sense, I guess, that I would start looking to Natural skin care products as well, to help me look and feel as healthy on the outside and I have begun to feel on the inside!
When you start paying attention to labels, you start to realize right away that there are a lot of scary chemicals used in a lot of our skin care products. I especially hate when I read the label and have no idea what 9 out of the 10 ingredients even are, or how to even pronounce them for that matter!
While I admit to still using lots of these products, I’m always very excited to try natural products and put them to the test to see if they stand up to my usual brands or even surpass them!
As you can imagine, I was super excited to try out some Beecology Natural Skincare Products! Beecology is made right here in the USA and in case you were wondering how they got the name, you are right, it certainly had to do with Bees! The brand is inspired by bees and how connected our world really is. After this important reflection, Beecology was created using honey and beeswax, as well as other natural ingredients that are good for both the world and us!
When my package from Beecology arrived, I dived right in and found wonderful body washes, lotions, and lip balms! I couldn’t wait to try them out (They also offer hand soap, bar soaps, and even Shampoo and Conditioner!)
First I tested out the body washes. I loved the scents. My absolute favorite was the Lavender with Bergamot (made with Virgin Hemp oil and Aloe). The scent is absolutely wonderful! But they ALL smell fantastic!
The body washes also lather well and leave my skin feeling fresh and clean. I loved that I could read the list of ingredients on the back and knew what everything was – honey, coconut oil, olive oil, etc.
Next up, were the wonderful body lotions and hand creams. I loved each one of them but really loved the scent of the Fresh Cucumber and Green Tea. Its the perfect summer scent!
These lotions have a great texture. They are rich and creamy but not too heavy. My skin soaked it right up! They did an amazing job of moisturizing my skin! I’ve been playing in the summer sun and the water by doing lots of boating at the lake this summer. Then add all the sunscreen I’ve been using on top of that, and my skin looks extremely dry!
When I started using my Beecology body creams, my skin started looking much more moisturized right away! I keep one of them on my boat to use after getting out of the water and my skin looks and feels super refreshed and moisturized immediately every time- and STAYS that way!
Lastly was the Lip Balms. I may never use another lip balm again! These balms are the most moisturizing balms I’ve ever used! My lips are usually dry, in fact I’m a lip balm addict. As soon as I started using my Beecology lip balms, my lips felt amazingly soft and kissable! They haven’t been dry at all since I started using them! I am absolutely in love with these wonderful lip balms and they also taste amazing! I love that they are natural too, because when you think about it, lip balms, glosses, and lipsticks that have chemicals and other unnatural ingredients- are getting digested by you! You know you are eating some of that! I loved that Beecology put my mind to ease! Now If they would just come out with their own line of lipsticks!
