Over the last few years, as I’ve entered my mid-thirties, I’ve noticed a small, and absolutely, not-fun decline in my health. I got my second Urinary Tract Infection ever, and after that, it just seemed to keep coming back every 6 months or so, and then eventually even more often than that! After getting some medical attention and several rounds of antibiotics, I knew there had to be some other way to beat this without stripping my body off all my good bacteria too, every time I came down with a nasty case of the stuff. Antibiotics can do a number on the body and it scared me that I seemed to be building up an immunity to them and half wondered if there would come a point where they would eventually do me no good either! I couldn’t bare the thought of going through another UTI with this thought process happening in the back of my mind!
Along with homeopathic’s (which has worked miracles for me!) I’ve also really gotten into meditation, and then learning about the chakras and how to open them up so promote energy throughout the body (hopefully) making the body healthier and stronger.
I set out to find some other more natural ways to help my body heal. Along with using homeopathic’s (which has worked miracles for me!) I’ve also really gotten into meditation, and have also started learning about the chakras and how to open them up to promote energy throughout the body, in turn (hopefully) making the body healthier and stronger.
After learning about the Sacral Chakra (located just below the belly button) and how blocked energy here can cause frequent UTI and other bladder problems, I decided it was definitely worth looking into and finding some ways to open it up! I learned that there are several great essential oils to use to help open up the sacral chakra too, specifically Orange (this is also the color associated with the chakra), bergamot, Clary Sage, Rose and Ylang Ylang, to name a few.
I have been using my Orange and Bergamot New Directions Aromatics Essential Oils in my diffuser since, when meditating or performing specific exercises to open up my sacral chakra. I love the scents so much, I also diffuse them much of the day while working too!
Aromatherapy can be so beneficial for the mind and body, and it’s so easy to use essential oils to get these benefits, not to mention they always seem to leave me feeling more relaxed, peaceful, and hopeful for the future.
What are some of the ways you use essential oils to benefit your health? Let me know in the comments! I love hearing from you!
