Eye color is probably one of my favorite things to play with when it comes to makeup. I love how dramatic or casual your look can be depending on eye shadows, liner, and mascara. I’m a color fiend when it comes to just about everything so its really no wonder I love to experiment with so many different eye colors too! For some reason I will go for the eye shadow every time over lipstick or blushes, or really anything else when it comes to makeup.
Some of my favorite colors are the natural bronze looks, but I do love a pretty green and Pink is probably my all time favorite. (It makes my blue-green eyes a gorgeous teal color), and lately I’ve been playing around with Blue even though I had always sworn it was the quickest way to look like you were stuck in the 80s!

Lately I’ve been talking a lot more about vegan products and some of you may wonder why I find it so important. First off, I love animals, and for anyone who loves animals, you should really make sure your products, yes even your cosmetics are vegan. Why? Because a lot of cosmetic and skin care companies still test on animals, and while that may not seem like a big deal, it is. These animals suffer… Some of the pictures showing animals that have been tested on are absolutely horrifying…So I think its very important we remember that, especially when shopping for cosmetics and skincare.
Now that you are more informed on why buying vegan cosmetics is so important, lets get back to the good stuff! I got to try out the Wheat Cream with pink cool undertones from Simplicity Cosmetics. I naturally picked this because it is a beautiful shade of pink, and like I said above, I love what pink does for my eyes! Along with this beautiful neutral color (which I used over my entire lid, and below the brow bone and in the corner of my eyes, to help them appear bigger and brighter), I also got to try out Rose gold, Bronze, Stone (a bluish-gray) and Honey (a pretty soft olive/pea green).
I loved playing around with these different colors and creating different looks! I also really loved that they are mineral makeup. I’ve become a huge fan of mineral makeup lately! I love how easy it is to apply, how natural it looks, and the awesome staying power you get from it! Simplicity Cosmetics lived up to all of that! In fact, I feel like these eye colors have the best staying power of any eye colors I’ve ever used, mineral or not! My eye color would stay put all day long and into the night and never budge! I swear by the end of the night, my eye color looked just as bright, bold, and vivid as when I applied it first thing in the morning! I also noticed how well put it would stay when I tapped the excess off my brush and some would fall into my bathroom sink. I would have to get a paper towel to wipe it out of my sink because water wasn’t enough to make it budge! I haven’t seen eye make up do that to my sink ever until now! Impressive!
For having such amazing staying power, you may be wondering if Simplicity Cosmetics contains any harsh chemicals or yucky stuff you don’t want on your skin! Well because its mineral eyeshadows, you know its good for you, but not only that, these beautiful bright eye colors are Paraben Free, contain no dyes, bismuth, Cornstarch, micronized or nano minerals, or talc! Also, I never had any problem removing my eye color at night before bed. I used both just my daily face wash or added eye makeup remover some nights, but the makeup came off super easy with either one!

Overall, I absolutely loved using these eye colors. They looked great, gave me a beautiful natural look, felt so light and fresh on my eyes, as if I was wearing nothing at all, and also had AMAZING staying power!
