I’ve always heard lots of good things about Tom’s of Maine but have actually never got to try any of their natural products out for myself, until now!
If you haven’t heard of Tom’s of Maine, they are a fabulous company that sells natural skin care and even oral care products! Along with being good for you and good for the earth, 10% of all profits are donated to charity! How fabulous is that? Tom’s of Maine has been in the biz for over 40 years, so you know you are getting great quality products that have been fine tuned for years! Oh and my favorite part about Toms of Maine – NO animal testing!
Here are some of the wonderful products I got to test out: Tom’s of Maine body soap, deodorant, floss, toothpaste, and a cool recyclable plant-based, BPA-free toothbrush!
I got a few bars of soap to try out and loved them all! They all had really great scents and felt super silky and moisturizing on my skin! I kept one in the shower and one by the sink to wash my hands, and while using these soap bars, my skin felt less dry than normal (I tend to have pretty dry skin). While I don’t have sensitive skin, this soap is great for those who do! There are no artificial or synthetic ingredients. The bar is super gentle and contains chamomile, olive oil, and vitamin E for moisturizing and soothing irritated skin!
Next up was the deodorant. I’ve actually never tried a natural deodorant before but absolutely loved using it. It had a nice scent and went on smoothly. It kept me dry throughout the day and kept odor at bay, which is amazing considering the crazy heat wave we have had here in Wyoming the last few weeks, and the fact that my house has no Air Conditioning!
Tom’s uses hops and zinc ricinoleate (from castor beans and the mineral zinc) to absorb bad odors and neutralize the smell! This deodorant also contains vitamin E and aloe, that in turns soothes and moisturizes the skin. No aluminum or propylene glycol can be found in these deodorants! The fragrance in Tom’s of Maine deodorant is 100% natural!
I also absolutely loved using my Tom’s of Maine oral care products! The floss is spearmint and feels so refreshing after use! It easily glided through my teeth, pulling out lots of icky things. What really impressed me was how strong it was! My mouth is small and my teeth are packed in there tightly together so I have to use super thin floss, otherwise, I’m breaking it all day long! This floss never broke on me once! A few times I thought it was going to, and it would unravel a tiny little bit, but it held up and finished the job for me every single time!
The Cool BPA-free, recyclable plant-based handle toothbrush had soft bristles and felt gentle on my teeth while still giving it a good scrub down! The handle fits nicely in my hands and had good grip. I felt like it did a great job of really cleaning my teeth!
Lastly, but certainly not least was my Tom’s of Maine Toothpaste. I loved that it had a different taste than your standard toothpaste but still left my mouth feeling super fresh and clean. I also really liked that it doesn’t contain fluoride. My toothpaste was gentle and refreshing and I loved that it was also 100% Natural!
Overall, I loved using my natural Tom’s of Maine products! I love that there are solutions out there that are completely natural, yet super effective! I also feel great about buying from Tom’s of Maine, knowing that they are donating 10% of profits to charity and not testing on animals!
