For being a melt, this sandwich is actually really healthy – thanks to not needing a sauce. You’ll find the avocado, tomato and vegan cheese paired together completely eliminate the need for any kind of sauce. But feel free to spread on some hummus if you want a melt with a bit more of a smooth, saucy taste, while still keeping the sandwich healthy!
This delicious sandwich was created by my boy toy Troy @Olstone!
Ingreds:
1 Veggie Pattie (I love Boca Burgers!)
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 tsp. Onion Powder
1 Tbsp. (Approx) Olive Oil
2 Pieces of Sourdough Bread
2 tsp. (Approx) Vegan/Dairy Free Butter (I love Earth Balance)
1 Whole Avocado (sliced)
1 Tomato (sliced)
Lettuce (sliced)
1 Slice of Vegan Cheese (Ciao Vegan Cheese is by FAR my favorite out there– available at Walmart!)
Directions:
Cook veggie patty in frying pan (or on grill) on med. heat in a little bit of Olive Oil. I like to add garlic and onion powder to the veggie patty while it looks. Cook until lightly browned.
Spread 2 slices of sourdough bread with vegan butter on one side each and cook on the buttery side until lightly browned.
Add the veggie pattie to bread to form a sandwich. Top the veggie patty with some lettuce, avocado slices, and tomato slices. Top with Vegan Cheese.
Cut the sandwich in half and serve!
Serve with yummy fruit and Almond Milk
Happy Eating!

This looks wonderful. I have to try this recipe.
Boca Burgers are amazing! I was hesitant to try them for the longest time, but not only are they healthier, they’re tasty too! That sandwich look delicious!
We tried these and they were a huge hit.
I am not a vegetarian but I do eat a lot of veggie meals. And this sandwich looks and sounds so good will have to give it a try.
this sounds and looks so good. I have never tried the boca burgers but I have talked to a lot of people that love them. I saw a sandwich recently and they used eggplant and sliced it and after baking it looked like bacon. I don’t think I will ever go all vegetarian/vegan but there are a lot of my meals that do not have meat
I have to admit I haven’t tried vegan cheese. I’m not a vegan, or a vegetarian, but I like vegetables, so this looks good to me.
